Former junior international Dele Alampasu has finally played a competitive game after making his debut for Latvian top side Ventsplis, in yesterday’s in 3-1 away win over Spartaks Jurmala at the Sloka Stadium.
The 2013 FIFA U17 world Cup winner and golden gloves winner joined the Latvian top division outfit FK Ventsplis from Portuguese side CD Feirense in february on a three deal running through December 2022.
However, Since the return of football in Latvia in early june, the 23 year old has been listed in four matchday squads, made the bench thrice, and started once. He will be hoping for more game opportunities having been limited to 5 appearances for CD Feirense main team and CD Feirense Sub-23 in Portugal.
FK Ventipils currently occupy 2nd place after 4 match days with 7 points accrued, they also have another Nigerian player and former international on their payroll, striker Christian Pygabara, who his yet to score after 3 games.
The future stars academy product will be hoping to get a further look in by Super Eagles manager, Gernot Rohr, having made his debut for the eagles in an international friendly against Togo on June 1, 2017.
