Arsenal is determined in their bid to secure the services of Ghana midfield star Thomas Partey from Atletico Madrid and according to reports they could sell midfielder Lucas Torreira to fund the transfer.
Ongoing rumors have linked Partey with a move to north London. Corriere dello Sport via TalkSPORT claims that a £43.5 million offer is on the table.
Consequently, given that the club’s finances are stretched, to say the least, murmurs that Lucas Torreira may head out the door in order to recoup funds are growing progressively louder.
Arsenal are frontrunners but should they fail to hasten their move, Partey could move to another top European club with PSG, Roma, and Inter Milan all having expressed interest in the talented midfielder.
Partey has spent five seasons with Atletico, making 174 appearances for the Spanish side.
He has won Europa League and UEFA Super Cup titles with the Rojiblancos.
