Besiktas Eye Awaziem

 

Reports in Turkey suggests that Super eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem is attracting interest from Turkish Super Lig outfit Besiktas.

 

 

Manager Sergen Yalcin is interested in signing the versatile defender who spent the second half of last season with another Turkish club Caykur Rizespor and speculations are rife that Besiktas officials have met with Awaziem representatives to discuss the move.

 

Awaziem is currently on loan at Spanish club Leganes from Portuguese giants FC Porto.

 

 

The 22-year-old has made 24 league appearances for Leganes this season and saw full 90 minutes in the away loss to Osasuna in Saturday’s La liga clash.

 

 

Awaziem was  linked up with Porto in 2014 after spending three years at Nigeria Professional Football League club Elkanemi Warriors and  he was promoted to the first team in 2016  after spending two years with the B team  starring o n 10 league games.

 

 

Aside from his loan stints at Caykur Rizespor and Leganes, he also spent the 2017/2018 campaign with French Ligue 1 side Nantes.
