Eagles Euro Round Up

Tricky Samuel Chukuweze was at his scintillating  best  as hosts Villareal ran out two goal victors  against  Visiting Valencia in their LaLIga clash  on Sunday.

The 21 year old played a huge role in the  Yellow Submarines’ 14th minute opener passing the ball to Gerrard Moreno, who set up Paco Alcacer to slot home exquisitely.

The 21-year-old  who has found the back of the net thrice and provided four assists for Javier Calleja’s wards this season was replaced by Javier Ontiveros on 89 minutes.

Elsewhere, Ramon Azeez tasted no action as his Granada side lost 2-1 to Eibar at the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes. The former youth  international has  so far netted twice in 20 league appearances for the ‘nazaries’   this term.

In Italy, William Troost-Ekong was replaced on  66 minutes by Rodrigo Becao as Udinese lost 3-2 at home to visiting Atlanta.

The former Dodrecht strongman has made 24 league appearances for Luca Gotti’s side this season.

Still in Italy, Victor Moses provided an assist as Inter Milan struggled from a goal down to post  a 2-1 away win against  hosts Parma at the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Sunday night.

The 29 year old who started from the bench took the place of Antonio Candreva in the 69th minute.

Parma took the lead in the 15th minute through Gervinho before dutch center back Stefan de Vrij equalised for Inter Milan in the 84th minute.

The hosts were  then reduced to 10-men when Juraj Kulca was sent off a minute later before Moses set up Alessandro Bastoni for the winner three minutes from the end.

In England, Wilfred Ndidi was in Leicester City’s line-up as they bowed out of the Emirates FA Cup following a  1-0 home loss to Frank Lampard’s Chelsea.

While Ndidi featured for the entire duration, his compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho did not taste any action for the foxes.

Ross Barkley’s second half goal proved enough to separate both sides.

In Turkey, Striker Henry Onyekuru was on for the entire duration as visitors  Galatasaray forced their hosts Istanbul Basaksehir to a 1-1 draw at the Fatih Terim stadium.

The former Eupen hitman has made 10 league appearance for the defending champions with a paltry return of just one goal all season. His countryman Jesse Sekidika was an unused substitute in the game.
