Forgotten Super eagles forward Brown Ideye found the back of the net for his side Aris Thessaloniki in their greek Super Six encounter against Olympiacos at the Stadio Georgios Karaiskaki on Sunday.
The former Ocean boys striker scored his team’s only goal of the game, but it was not enough to propel his side from another defeat in the hands of table toppers Olympiacos.
Ariz Thessaloniki started the game on the back foot, as they fell conceded two goals inside the opening 30 minutes.
Mady Camara made it 1 – 0 for the home side in 27th minutes and doubled his team’s advantage a minute later.
Giorgos Masour put the game beyond the Ideye and his mates with the third goal in the 39th minute of the encounter.
Ideye got his goal four minutes after the hour mark but Kostas Fortounis missed the opportunity to restore Olympiacos three goals lead when he blew a 90th-minute penalty.
Ideye has now scored eight goals in all competitions for the club this season.
