The Nigerian Football Federation has sent a congratulatory birthday message to former super eagles safe hands Carl Ikeme who clocks 34 today.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers legend who got his first national team call up in March 2007 called it quits with football after a protracted battle with acute leukamia in 2018 and earned ten caps in the colours of the eagles between 2015 and 2016.
In a message posted via its official twitter handle, the Federation wrote ” Happy birthday to former @NGSupereagles shot-stopper@Carl_Ikeme. Have a good one”.
Ikeme had brief spells at Accrington Stanley, Charlton Athletic and Sheffield United during his playing days.
