The Super Falcons home jersey has been voted the best kit of the FIFA Women’s World Cup held in France last year.
The jersey, a mixture of lemon green, white and black was recently nominated by FIFA alongside those of the ‘Matilda’s’ of Australia, England’s ‘three Lionesses’ and Germany’s ‘DieNational Elf’
The Falcons kit won by an amazing 50 percent of the votes, with the Aussies Yellow and blue spectacular outfit emerging second with a distant 21 percent.
England placed third with 15 percent while Germany finished fourth with 15 percent in the four-nation ranking.
Altough the Nigerian ladies recorded only one win in the group stages against South Korea, losing to Norway and hosts France, her 2-1 win over Korea was enough to see them to scale through to the Round of 16 for the first time since the 1999 edition in the United States of America.
The West Africans however bowed out of the competition in the second round after going down to a 3-0 bashing by two-time world champions Germany.
