Nwakali Debuts For Huesca in Home Loss to Mirandes

2015 U-17 World Cup  Golden ball winner Kelechi Nwakali made his long awaited debut for SD Huesca who fell to a 2-1 home defeat against Mirandes in their Spanish Segunda Division clash on Thursday evening.

On loan from Arsenal, Nwakali replaced Sergio Gomes in the 83rd minute of the encounter played at the Estadio El Alcoraz.

The talented  midfielder  who was an unused substitute in Huesca’s previous league game against Malaga, linked up with Huesca on a permanent deal from Premier League club Arsenal last summer.

Mirandes took the lead through Alvaro Rey two minutes after the hour mark, while Rafa Mir equalised for the visitors eight minutes later.

Alvaro Pena scored the winning goal for the visitors 18 minutes from time.
